In NSW alone, there are 400 functional kidney transplants per million people, and in Australia in 2017 there were 1109 total transplants. We provide services for patients undergoing transplant and also renal replacement therapies.
Transplant
We assist the patient to implement, receive and cope with immunosuppression, bone metabolism, infection control, diabetes control, malignancy prevention, anaemia management, hypertension control, physical activity, return to the workforce and improving quality of life.
Hemodialysis is often used by us as a bridging solution to offering Transplant Therapy or Peritoneal Dialysis. Both latter options provide the patient some freedom and good quality of life.
Home Dialysis
We help our eligible patients implement home dialysis care, along with education, routine dialysis management and fistula/catheter care.
We assist the patient in the decision for dialysis as well as managing dialysis requirements including fistula/catheter care, and assist with access to training for dialysis.
Transplant Education
We help our patients make the best and most informed decisions they can at this critical point in their health management by providing easy access to transplant/dialysis education seminars and publications, as well as one on one discussions regarding expectations throughout the transplant process.
